Tony nominee Lainie Kazan and Nikki Blonsky will join the cast of My Big Gay Italian Wedding for the show's Atlantic City premiere on August 26-27 at the Hilton Hotel & Casino. Kazan and Blonsky will play the mother and sister of groom-to-be Anthony Pinnuziato (Wedding playwright and star Anthony Wilkinson), with Kim Sozzi and Judy Torress alternating in the role of Aunt Toniann. Sonia Blangiardo will direct.
My Big Gay Italian Wedding follows the antics of a close-knit Italian family after their gay son announces he's engaged. The parents will only agree to pay for the wedding if certain demands are met. When their requests appear impossible to fill, the grooms go to great lengths to convince the family everything is going smoothly despite the behavior of a jealous ex-boyfriend, a crazy wedding planner and more.
